Khatrimaza: Bollywood, South Hindi dubbed and Hollywood dual audio movies, from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge to Pushpa 2

Khatrimaza has always been a movie site with three doors: Bollywood, South movies in Hindi, and Hollywood with Hindi and English audio. The new Khatrimaza keeps those three doors and the look its visitors remember: a navy bar across the top, light-blue headings in a thin, airy typeface, posters with a small HD tag and a score badge with a gold star, a sidebar of categories with counts in light-blue pills, and a Most voted list with numbered ranks in stepped shades of blue. Every movie now opens on the official services that carry it, through one Watch now button.

This guide explains how to use Khatrimaza and what you will find on it. The first part covers the layout: the navy bar, the featured strip, the poster grids, the hover card, the sidebar and the movie pages with their Watch now button. The second part is a tour of the three sections: Bollywood from the 1990s to today, South Indian cinema in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, and Hollywood in Hindi. The third part is practical: dual audio and subtitles, services in India and the Gulf, free and legal options, devices, the official site and staying safe.

The navy bar

At the top of every page runs a dark navy bar. On the left, the logo shows a light-blue square with a navy play button, followed by Khatri in bold white letters and maza in thin light blue.

Beside the logo, the menu lists Home, Bollywood, South Hindi Dubbed, Hollywood Dual Audio, Top rated, A-Z and My List in soft grey. The page you are on turns light blue, and every item brightens to white when you hover over it.

On the right, a dark search box with the prompt Search.. ends in a light-blue button with a magnifier. On a phone, the menu folds into a light-blue Menu button, the logo moves to the centre and the search box stretches across a row of its own.

The poster grids

Below the featured strip, the page divides into a wide content column and a narrow sidebar. The content column holds four white boxes, each with a light-blue heading, a thin rule and a View all link: Latest movies, Bollywood Movies, South Movies Hindi Dubbed and Hollywood Dual Audio Hindi English.

Each box shows twelve posters in two rows. In the top-left corner of each poster sits a small light-blue HD tag, and in the bottom-right a white badge shows the score with a gold star. Under the poster, the title appears in dark type and the year in pale grey.

View all opens the full section, where the same posters fill a longer grid.

The hover card

Hover over any poster and a white card slides over it, with the title at the top above a thin rule and a few lines of the story below, in soft grey. It is the same idea as the info box the original theme showed beside each poster.

The card lets you read what a movie is about before you open it, which is handy when a title is new to you.

Move away and the poster returns; click and the movie page opens.

Pages

Below the four boxes, a row of large grey blocks works like the site's old page numbers: 1, 2, 3 and Next page. The current block is white.

The blocks lead to the full movie list and the collections page, where every movie on Khatrimaza can be found.

The movie list is sorted by popularity, and the A-Z page by title.

The Categories box

At the top of the sidebar, the Categories box lists every shelf on Khatrimaza, with the total number of movies beside the heading. Each shelf has a small circle on the left and its count in a light-blue pill on the right.

The shelves are Bollywood Movies, South Movies Hindi Dubbed, Hollywood Dual Audio, New movies, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Action, Comedy, Thriller and crime, Animation and Bollywood classics.

The first shelf's circle is filled in light blue, just as the original marked the current category.

Most voted

Below the categories, the Most voted box opens with a blue banner and lists the ten movies rated by the most people. Each line has a rank number in a small coloured square, stepping from bright sky blue at number one to deep navy at number ten, followed by the title, the score in a grey box and the number of votes.

At the moment the list is led by Interstellar, Inception, The Avengers and The Dark Knight, films watched and rated by tens of thousands of people.

The stepped blues are taken from the original theme, where each rank had its own shade.

Help

At the foot of the sidebar, a third box lists every help page: how to watch, finding a movie, Bollywood, South movies Hindi dubbed, dual audio explained, Telugu and Tamil cinema, Kannada and Malayalam cinema, Hollywood dual audio and more.

On a tablet the three sidebar boxes sit side by side under the grids, and on a phone they follow one another.

The footer closes every page with the main links, a short note on where the information comes from and a Back to top link.

The movie page

Every movie has its own page. At the top, the poster sits beside the title, the original title in its own script, such as Telugu or Tamil, and a row of tags for HD, the year, the runtime and the genres.

A few lines of story follow, then the light-blue Watch now button and an Add to My List button. Below, a panel titled Where to watch explains the viewing options, and a grid of facts lists the original title, the release date, the original language, the country, the runtime, the studio, the score and the other names the movie is known by.

The cast follows with photographs, and related movies close the page.

The Watch now button

Press Watch now, choose your country in the panel that opens, and press it again. Khatrimaza hands you to the movie's page on JustWatch, the independent guide that tracks streaming services country by country.

JustWatch lists the subscriptions that include the movie, the stores that rent or sell it and the free services with adverts that show it in your country.

Choose one and the movie opens in that service's app or website. Once it is playing, the audio menu lets you choose Hindi or the original language.

Choosing your country

India comes first in the country list, followed by the countries where Khatrimaza's visitors most often live and work: the United Arab Emirates, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Singapore, Malaysia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and South Africa.

Khatrimaza remembers your choice and uses it on every Watch now button.

Change it from the viewing panel at any time, for example when you move between India and the Gulf.

The Bollywood section

Bollywood is the first door on Khatrimaza. The section gathers Hindi movies from the 1990s to the newest releases, chosen by audience and score, and it holds everything from spy thrillers to family dramas.

The Bollywood guide picks highlights, and the Bollywood Movies shelf holds the whole set.

This part of the guide walks through the section by kind of story.

The newest Bollywood hits

The biggest Hindi films of recent years lead the section. Dhurandhar follows an undercover operative inside Karachi's underworld and became one of the defining films of 2025, and Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues the story.

Saiyaara is a love story between a young musician and a writer that became a surprise sensation, and Jewel Thief - The Heist Begins is a slick heist with Saif Ali Khan.

KILL sets an intense fight aboard a night train, and Crew follows three air hostesses who stumble on a gold-smuggling scheme.

Spies and soldiers

Spy films are one of Bollywood's biggest draws. Pathaan and Jawan made 2023 a record year for Shah Rukh Khan, and War, Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai follow the agents of the YRF Spy Universe.

Fighter takes the action into the sky with the Indian Air Force, and Uri: The Surgical Strike dramatises a real military operation.

Sooryavanshi brings Akshay Kumar's anti-terror officer into Rohit Shetty's cop universe, and Rowdy Rathore is a crowd-pleasing action comedy.

Stories with heart

Some of the best-loved Hindi films are about ordinary people. 12th Fail follows a young man from a village in Madhya Pradesh who studies for India's toughest exam, and Dangal follows a father who trains his daughters to become champion wrestlers.

Like Stars on Earth follows a boy with dyslexia and the teacher who understands him, Dear Zindagi follows a young woman who finds help from a gentle therapist, and The Lunchbox connects two strangers through a misdelivered lunch.

Sir is a quiet love story set in a Mumbai apartment, and Monsoon Wedding captures the joy and chaos of a Delhi family wedding.

Thrillers and dark stories

Andhadhun follows a pianist who pretends to be blind and becomes a witness to murder, one of the cleverest Hindi thrillers of its decade. Tumbbad is a folk-horror tale of greed and a cursed treasure.

Animal follows a son's violent devotion to his father, Mom is a mother's revenge story, and Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 1 is an epic crime saga across generations.

Gangubai Kathiawadi follows a woman who rises to power in Mumbai, with Alia Bhatt in one of her finest roles.

Shah Rukh Khan's films

Shah Rukh Khan has more films on Khatrimaza than any other star. His romances define an era: Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Mohabbatein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kal Ho Naa Ho and Veer-Zaara.

His entertainers are just as loved: Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, Happy New Year and Dilwale, and his dramas include My Name Is Khan, Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Dunki.

A search for his name gathers every one of them on one page.

Aamir Khan and Salman Khan

Aamir Khan's films are among the most admired in Hindi cinema. Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India was nominated for an Oscar, 3 Idiots and PK became comedy classics with a message, and Ghajini and Laal Singh Chaddha show his range.

Salman Khan's films are made for crowds: Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the story of a kind-hearted man who helps a lost girl find her way home.

Hrithik Roshan leads Koi... Mil Gaya, Krrish, Dhoom 2, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, War and Fighter.

Love stories

Romance runs through Bollywood. Aashiqui 2 follows a singer who helps a young woman become a star, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is a colourful love story between two very different families, and Student Of The Year is a glossy campus romance.

Jodhaa Akbar tells the love story of a Mughal emperor and a Rajput princess, and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara mixes romance with friendship on a road trip through Spain.

The Bollywood classics shelf gathers the love stories of the 1990s and 2000s.

Fantasy and science fiction

Hindi cinema has its own fantasies. Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva builds a world of ancient weapons from Indian mythology, Adipurush retells the Ramayana, and Ra.One brings a video-game villain into the real world.

Koi... Mil Gaya and Krrish introduced a friendly alien and India's own superhero.

These films are full of visual effects and look best on a large screen.

Bollywood classics

The Bollywood classics shelf gathers Hindi films from before 2010. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge has played in one Mumbai cinema for decades, and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham shaped the family romance of their time.

Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India, Jodhaa Akbar and 3 Idiots are among the most admired Hindi films, and Dhoom 2, Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om are pure entertainment.

Many of these films have been restored in HD and look better now than on their first release.

South movies in Hindi

South Movies Hindi Dubbed is the second door on Khatrimaza, and for many visitors it is the most important. Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam cinema now produce many of India's biggest films, and most are released with Hindi audio at the same time as the original.

The South movies guide explains the section, and the South Movies Hindi Dubbed shelf holds the whole set.

Separate shelves for Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam make it easy to explore one language at a time.

RRR and Baahubali

S. S. Rajamouli's films opened the whole country to Telugu cinema. Bāhubali: The Beginning and Bāhubali 2: The Conclusion tell the story of a legendary kingdom on a vast scale, and the Hindi versions filled cinemas across the North.

RRR follows two revolutionaries in the 1920s, with the song Naatu Naatu winning an Oscar. His earlier Eega, about a man reborn as a fly who takes revenge, is one of the most inventive Indian films ever made.

All four are favourites in Hindi, and each rewards the biggest screen you can find.

Telugu cinema

Telugu cinema's stars lead some of the biggest films on the site. Allu Arjun plays a sandalwood smuggler in Pushpa: The Rise and Pushpa 2 - The Rule, Prabhas leads Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, Saaho and Kalki 2898-AD, and Jr NTR leads Devara: Part 1.

The industry has quieter films too: Jersey follows a cricketer's late comeback, Rangasthalam is a village drama set in the 1980s, Geetha Govindam is a gentle romantic comedy, and Sita Ramam is a love story set in the 1960s.

Lucky Baskhar, Arjun Reddy, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, V, The Ghazi Attack and 1: Nenokkadine complete the Telugu shelf.

Tamil cinema

Tamil cinema is known for its stars and bold directors. Lokesh Kanagaraj's Kaithi, Vikram, Leo and Coolie are some of the biggest Tamil films of recent years, and Nelson's Jailer brought Rajinikanth back as a retired jailer.

Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan: Part I adapts a famous historical novel, and Shankar's 2.0 pits Rajinikanth against a creature made of mobile phones.

Vijay leads Theri, Mersal, Master, Beast and Leo, a run of hits that shows why he is one of the biggest stars in India.

Tamil drama and thrillers

Tamil cinema also makes some of India's finest dramas. Jai Bhim follows a lawyer fighting for a tribal family, Soorarai Pottru is inspired by the founder of a low-cost airline, and Amaran tells the true story of an army officer.

96 is a tender story of two school sweethearts meeting again, Super Deluxe weaves several stories into one, and Vada Chennai is a sprawling crime saga.

Ratsasan, Maharaja and Thani Oruvan are among the best Indian thrillers of their decade.

Kannada cinema

Kannada cinema reached the whole country with Prashanth Neel's K.G.F: Chapter 1 and K.G.F: Chapter 2, the story of Rocky's rise in the gold fields, both huge hits in Hindi.

Rishab Shetty's Kantara brought the folk traditions of coastal Karnataka to the screen, and Kantara - A Legend: Chapter 1 went back to where the legend began. 777 Charlie follows a lonely man and the stray dog who changes his life.

Lucia and U Turn are clever thrillers, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello – Side A is a tender love story, and Mahavatar Narsimha is an animated retelling of a Hindu legend.

Malayalam cinema

Malayalam cinema is admired for its storytelling. Drishyam follows a father who protects his family with the help of the films he has watched, and it has been remade in several languages.

Ustad Hotel, Bangalore Days, Premam and Kumbalangi Nights are warm stories of family, friendship and love, and Aavesham is a wild comedy about a gangster who befriends three students.

Minnal Murali is a village superhero story, Marco a stylish action film, and All We Imagine as Light won the Grand Prix at Cannes.

Hollywood dual audio

Hollywood Dual Audio is the third door on Khatrimaza. It gathers Hollywood films that services offer with both Hindi and English audio, so you can watch in whichever language you prefer.

The Hollywood guide picks highlights, and the dual audio guide explains how to switch between languages.

Most of these films are also offered in Tamil and Telugu, and many in 4K.

Marvel in Hindi

Marvel films are some of the most watched Hollywood films in India. Iron Man and Iron Man 2 introduced Tony Stark, and The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame brought the team together.

Captain America: Civil War, Thor: Ragnarok, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness add adventures of their own.

Spider-Man runs from Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man to Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: No Way Home and the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

Big Hollywood films

Christopher Nolan's films are favourites in Hindi: The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Interstellar and Oppenheimer. Denis Villeneuve's Dune and Blade Runner 2049 are science fiction on a grand scale.

James Cameron's Avatar, Avatar: The Way of Water and Avatar: Fire and Ash take place on the moon of Pandora, and Mad Max: Fury Road and Top Gun: Maverick are among the most thrilling action films of their decade.

John Wick: Chapter 4 brings Keanu Reeves's assassin to Paris and Osaka, and Joker and The Batman explore Gotham from opposite sides.

Family films in Hindi

Animated Hollywood films are very popular in Hindi. Coco, Inside Out, WALL·E, Toy Story 3 and Big Hero 6 are loved by children and parents alike.

Despicable Me, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and Cars 2 are full of comedy, and Coraline and Corpse Bride offer gentle spooky fun.

The Harry Potter films, from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, are favourites for family marathons.

Dual audio explained

Dual audio is at the heart of Khatrimaza, and on streaming services it is simple. A movie offered in dual audio has two or more soundtracks, usually Hindi and the original language, and you choose between them in the player's audio menu.

Hollywood films such as Avengers: Endgame are usually offered in Hindi and English, and South Indian films such as RRR and K.G.F: Chapter 2 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. Subtitles can be combined with any track.

The dual audio guide explains more, and the setting is usually remembered for the next movie you play.

Picture quality

Khatrimaza's visitors have always cared about quality, and today's services deliver HD as standard. Movies stream in 720p or 1080p, and many in 4K with HDR on premium plans, adjusting to your connection as you watch.

On mobile data, most apps offer a data saver setting, and many let you download movies on Wi-Fi to watch later on the move. Spectacles such as Kalki 2898-AD, Avatar: The Way of Water and Bāhubali 2: The Conclusion are best saved for a large screen.

The picture quality guide has more.

Services in India

In India, JioHotstar, Prime Video, Netflix, ZEE5 and SonyLIV carry most of the movies on Khatrimaza, and Aha and Sun NXT carry many Telugu and Tamil films.

New Indian films usually reach streaming four to eight weeks after their cinema release, often in several languages at once. Many mobile and broadband plans include a streaming subscription in the price.

The guide to services compares the options.

Services in the Gulf

Many of Khatrimaza's visitors live and work in the Gulf. In the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman, Netflix, Prime Video, OSN+ and ZEE5 carry many Hindi and South Indian films.

Release dates and prices differ from India, so choose your country in the viewing panel to see exactly what is available where you live.

If you travel home to India, switch the country there; My List stays in place.

Subtitles

Every major service includes subtitles. Hindi films usually have English subtitles, and South Indian and Hollywood films often have Hindi subtitles as well.

Open the speech-bubble menu in the player to choose, and in most apps you can change the size and colour of the text.

Subtitles are especially helpful when watching a Tamil or Malayalam film in its original language, where the actors' voices carry much of the performance.

Phones and televisions

Khatrimaza works in any browser. On a phone, the menu folds into a light-blue Menu button, the featured strip scrolls sideways, and the posters line up two across.

To watch on a television, choose a movie on your phone and open it in the same service's app on the television, or cast it with Chromecast. Fire TV Stick, Chromecast with Google TV and most smart televisions have apps for the major services.

Add Khatrimaza to your home screen from the browser menu for one-tap access. The apps and devices guide has more.

Free and legal

Many Indian movies can be watched free and legally. JioHotstar, MX Player, ZEE5 and YouTube's free films carry many Hindi and South Indian titles with adverts.

Outside India, Tubi, Pluto TV and Plex carry some Indian films with adverts, and many subscription services offer a free first week or month.

The Watch now button marks free options for your country. The free and legal guide gathers more.

My List

My List keeps the movies you want to watch. Press Add to My List on any movie page, and it joins the My List page, reachable from the navy bar.

Use it to plan a weekend of South Indian epics, a Shah Rukh Khan season or a Marvel marathon in Hindi.

The list lives in your browser and works right away. Export My List saves a small file; Import a saved copy merges it on another device. The My List guide has ideas.

More ways to find movies

The menu leads to the three sections, the Top rated page ranks the hundred highest-rated movies, and the A-Z page lists every movie alphabetically.

The finding a movie guide explains search and categories, the Telugu and Tamil guide and the Kannada and Malayalam guide introduce each language.

The how to watch guide walks through each step from the poster to the player.

The official Khatrimaza

Khatrimaza has one fixed address, shown in your browser, and its own writing and movie pages: the navy bar, the light-blue headings, the HD tags and gold-star badges and the Most voted list with its stepped blues.

Bookmark it or add it to your home screen, and it opens with your country and My List in place. Every Watch now button leads to JustWatch and official services.

The official site and site status guides explain what to check.

Staying safe

Khatrimaza shows posters, stories and links to JustWatch and official services, and every button goes exactly where its label says.

Official services keep your devices safe and support the actors, directors and crews behind every movie. Keep your browser and devices updated for security fixes and better playback.

Elsewhere, leave pages that open windows on their own, ask you to install a player or ask for card details to watch something free. The safety guide has a short checklist.

How movies are chosen

The Khatrimaza catalogue follows the site's three sections. Bollywood movies are chosen by audience and score from the 1990s to today; South movies from the most popular Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam films; and Hollywood films from the most watched releases of the last twenty years.

Khatrimaza is a movie site, as it has always been, so every title is a feature film.

It is a site for a general audience. Movies sold on explicit sexual content are left out, so every shelf is comfortable to browse with family nearby.

Where the information comes from

Posters, titles, original titles, stories, genres, runtimes, casts and audience scores come from TMDB, the community film database used around the world.

Where to watch comes from JustWatch, updated daily for every country. The help pages and this guide are written for Khatrimaza.

The catalogue is refreshed regularly, so new releases arrive as they reach home screens.

Your first visit

If this is your first visit, pick one of the three doors. Open Bollywood for Hindi hits, South Hindi Dubbed for the biggest films from Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam cinema, or Hollywood Dual Audio for the latest blockbusters in Hindi.

Hover over a few posters to read their stories, add two or three to My List, and choose one to watch tonight. Next time, try another door.

Before long, My List will hold a shelf of movies chosen just for you.

Weekend epics

Some movies are made for a free weekend. The Baahubali films together run to about five and a half hours, and the K.G.F films to about five. RRR runs to just over three hours on its own.

For Hollywood, the Avengers films from The Avengers to Avengers: Endgame make a fine weekend in Hindi, and the Harry Potter films a longer one.

Add the whole set to My List before you begin, and the runtimes on each movie page help you plan breaks.

Family movie nights

Many movies on Khatrimaza suit the whole family. Like Stars on Earth, 3 Idiots, Dangal and Bajrangi Bhaijaan are loved by every generation, and 777 Charlie and Koi... Mil Gaya are favourites with children.

Animated films such as Coco, Inside Out and Mahavatar Narsimha are offered in Hindi and suit younger viewers.

Services add their own age ratings and parental controls, which you can set in each app's profile settings.

Festival releases

Festivals are the season for the biggest Indian releases. Diwali, Eid, Pongal and Sankranti weekends have launched many of the films on the site, from Tiger Zinda Hai to Pushpa 2 - The Rule.

For a festival evening at home, a family classic such as Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham or a big entertainer such as Chennai Express is always a good choice.

Plan ahead with My List, so the choice is ready when everyone gathers.

Directors to follow

Following a director is one of the best ways to explore the site. S. S. Rajamouli made Eega, the Baahubali films and RRR; Prashanth Neel made the K.G.F films and Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire; Lokesh Kanagaraj made Kaithi, Vikram, Leo and Coolie.

In Hindi cinema, Rajkumar Hirani made 3 Idiots, PK and Dunki, and Sriram Raghavan made Andhadhun. In Hollywood, Christopher Nolan made Inception, Interstellar and Oppenheimer.

The movie page names each director, and a search on the name gathers their films.

One story, many languages

Indian cinema often tells the same story in several languages. Drishyam began in Malayalam and has been remade in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi, and U Turn began in Kannada before being remade in Telugu and Tamil.

Jersey and Arjun Reddy were remade in Hindi, and dubbed versions of many South films now reach Hindi audiences on the same day as the original.

Comparing two versions of a story is a fascinating way to see how different industries approach the same material.

Songs and soundtracks

Music is part of every Indian film, and many of the movies on Khatrimaza are remembered for their songs. The soundtracks of Aashiqui 2, Kal Ho Naa Ho and Saiyaara have been played millions of times.

Anirudh Ravichander's music drives Vikram, Jailer, Leo and Jawan, and M. M. Keeravani's songs for RRR won an Oscar.

A soundbar or good headphones bring out the full richness of these soundtracks, especially in Dolby Atmos where services offer it.

New movies

The New movies shelf and the Latest movies box on the home page gather movies from 2024 onward. 2025 brought Dhurandhar, Saiyaara, Coolie, Kantara - A Legend: Chapter 1 and Mahavatar Narsimha.

2026 brings Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, Toy Story 5, Project Hail Mary and The Odyssey, among many others.

The Watch now button shows each stage of a new movie's release for your country, from rental to subscription.

Reading the scores

Every poster shows a TMDB audience score in a white badge with a gold star. Scores above eight mark the movies audiences love most, and the Top rated page is made almost entirely of them.

The number of votes matters as much as the score. The Most voted list shows movies rated by tens of thousands of people, whose scores are very settled; a new release with a few hundred votes may move as more people watch.

Scores are a helpful guide rather than a final word, and some of the most enjoyable movies on Khatrimaza sit just below the top.

Worth watching again

Many movies reward a second viewing. Andhadhun, Drishyam, Maharaja and Ratsasan are full of clues that only make sense once you know the ending, and Inception reveals new layers each time.

Watching a favourite in a different language can feel new too: try RRR in Telugu after seeing it in Hindi.

Keep a small shelf of favourites in My List alongside the movies you are yet to discover.

True stories

Several movies on Khatrimaza are based on real events. Dangal tells the story of the wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters, 12th Fail the story of the police officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, and Uri: The Surgical Strike a military operation.

Amaran tells the true story of Major Mukund Varadarajan, Soorarai Pottru is inspired by the founder of Air Deccan, and The Ghazi Attack is based on a naval battle of 1971.

From Hollywood, The Imitation Game and Oppenheimer tell the stories of two great scientists.

Enjoy Khatrimaza

Khatrimaza exists to help you find your next Bollywood hit, South Indian epic or Hollywood blockbuster, and to make each one easy to watch legally, in the language you prefer, wherever you live.

From the navy bar to the poster grids, the Categories box and the Most voted list, every part of the page is there to get you to a great movie quickly.

Bookmark Khatrimaza, build your list, and enjoy the movie.

Stars of the South

Following a star is the easiest way into South Indian cinema. Prabhas leads the Baahubali films, Saaho, Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire and Kalki 2898-AD; Allu Arjun leads Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and both Pushpa films; Mahesh Babu leads 1: Nenokkadine; and Ram Charan and Jr NTR share RRR.

In Tamil, Rajinikanth leads 2.0, Jailer and Coolie, Vijay leads Master, Beast and Leo, and Kamal Haasan leads Vikram. In Kannada, Yash leads the K.G.F films and Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups.

In Malayalam, Mohanlal leads Drishyam and Drishyam 2, Fahadh Faasil leads Aavesham, and Dulquer Salmaan leads Ustad Hotel, Bangalore Days, Sita Ramam and Lucky Baskhar.

Horror and suspense

Khatrimaza's horror shelf is small but strong. Tumbbad is one of the most admired Indian horror films, a tale of greed and a cursed god set across three generations.

From Hollywood, The Conjuring follows real-life investigators into a haunted farmhouse, and Resident Evil and Backrooms bring new chills in 2026.

Watch these with the lights on, or with someone close by.

Science fiction

Science fiction has grown in Indian cinema. Kalki 2898-AD imagines the last city on Earth in the far future, 2.0 pits a robot against a creature made of mobile phones, and Ra.One brings a video-game villain into the real world.

From Hollywood, Interstellar, Inception, Dune, Blade Runner 2049 and Alien: Covenant are favourites in Hindi, and Project Hail Mary arrives in 2026.

These films are best enjoyed on a large screen with a good sound system.

Action from every industry

Action is the one genre every section shares. From Hindi cinema come War, Pathaan and KILL; from Telugu, Pushpa 2 - The Rule and Devara: Part 1; from Tamil, Vikram and Leo; from Kannada, K.G.F: Chapter 2; and from Malayalam, Marco.

From Hollywood, John Wick: Chapter 4, Mad Max: Fury Road and Top Gun: Maverick set the standard for stunts.

The Action shelf gathers all of them in one place, whatever their language.

Comedy

Comedy travels well between languages. 3 Idiots, PK and Chennai Express are Hindi comedy favourites, and Aavesham and Premam show Malayalam comedy at its warmest.

Geetha Govindam and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo are Telugu crowd-pleasers, and from Hollywood, Despicable Me and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish are funny in any language.

The Comedy shelf gathers them all.

Weeknight viewing

Many Indian films run close to three hours, so on a busy weeknight the runtime on each movie page is worth a glance. The Lunchbox, Sir, Lucia and Coraline are among the shorter films on the site.

A long film can also be split across two evenings; most services remember exactly where you stopped.

Save the biggest epics for the weekend, when there is time to enjoy them fully.

Women at the centre

Some of the strongest movies on Khatrimaza put women at the centre. Gangubai Kathiawadi follows a woman who rises to power in Mumbai, Crew follows three air hostesses, and Dear Zindagi follows a young cinematographer finding her way.

Mom is a mother's fight for justice, All We Imagine as Light follows three women in Mumbai, and Sapta Sagaradaache Ello – Side A tells a love story from a young woman's side as much as her partner's.

From Hollywood, Gone Girl offers one of the most memorable heroines of its decade.

Period films

Indian cinema loves the past. Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India is set in a village under British rule, Jodhaa Akbar in the Mughal court, and Ponniyin Selvan: Part I in the Chola kingdom of the tenth century.

RRR is set in the 1920s, Sita Ramam in the 1960s, Rangasthalam in the 1980s, and Lucky Baskhar in the Bombay of the early 1990s.

These films are full of costume, music and detail, and they reward a large screen.

Sport on screen

Sport inspires several movies on the site. Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India turns a cricket match into an epic, Dangal follows two champion wrestlers, and Jersey follows a cricketer's comeback in his thirties.

From Hollywood, Real Steel pits boxing robots against each other in a warm father-and-son story.

These films are full of emotion and make wonderful family viewing.

Animation

Animation has its own shelf on Khatrimaza. Mahavatar Narsimha retells a Hindu legend in a large-scale Indian animated film, and Pixar's Coco, Inside Out, WALL·E and Toy Story 3 are favourites in Hindi.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse show how inventive animation can be, and Big Hero 6 and Zootopia 2 suit the whole family.

The Animation shelf gathers them all.

Heists and capers

Heist films are pure fun, and every section has them. Dhoom 2 follows a master thief across Mumbai and Rio, Jewel Thief - The Heist Begins plans the theft of a legendary diamond, and Happy New Year assembles a team for a jewel robbery in Dubai.

Lucky Baskhar follows a bank clerk who turns the system to his advantage, and Crew has three air hostesses outsmart a gold-smuggling boss.

These films are light, clever and ideal for an evening with friends.

Mythology and legend

Indian legends inspire several of the most striking films on the site. Kantara and Kantara - A Legend: Chapter 1 draw on the folk deities of coastal Karnataka, and Mahavatar Narsimha retells the story of Vishnu's lion-man avatar.

Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva and Adipurush bring mythology to large-scale fantasy, and Kalki 2898-AD imagines the final avatar of Vishnu in a distant future.

These films combine spectacle with stories many viewers grew up hearing.
